Default Can't print- need it for class tomorrow!
I need to print my notes out and my printer is being just awful! I have an HP PCS 1400. It's supposed to make copies, and I know my printer is jacked and not my computer because it won't make copies. I tried changing the black ink, copying it in color. It sounds like it's printing, but it comes out invisible. When I try to print my notes out it will send it to the little printer icon and immediately pop up as an error. Help me please! I'll give half my tokens away!

Yeah.... I'm not blond! lol It was working just fine about a week ago. And then it just stopped. I left it alone for a few days thinking it would figure its own self out, but it hasn't....

Is it a brand new cartridge or a used one? It may be dried out. Try blotting it on a moist paper towel to get the ink flowing again if it wasn't brand new

Not very. Maybe since December, late November?

Blotted. No dice. Still invisible. I wish it was still showing the error so I could tell you what it was at least.

EDIT: It left marks on the paper towel, but not printing.

take it out and gently slide it over a moist paper towel. If the ink is good, it will start to streak across the towel.

99.9% of the time if it sounds like it's printing and the page is blank, it's the ink cartridge. So check that first.

Sometimes the ink will dry and clog it, even though it still has ink in it.

They don't carry my ink at Wal-Mart and I'm pretty sure the Office depot is closed... this sucks. I've gone without printing my notes for a few classes now, and since she leaves blanks, all I have is the missing stuff and it makes no sense.

take the ink cartridge out and set it on the wet paper towel for a few minutes to get the ink really flowing... it's the last resort to bring it back from the dead.

School charges and I don't do cash... I really need to get them out tonight so I can piece all the old stuff together and not be clueless tomorrow. If I absolutely can't get it to work, I'll have to go elsewhere.

I don't really know a lot of people, so no. I do have access to a fax machine, but not until 930 tomorrow and I get on campus at 8 and don't leave until 2.
