I use Firefox, and I just converted my parents to it. Opera is alright and Safari on Windows is shit.

FF3 all the way

NodePark 07-14-2008 03:55 AM

Firefox 3.0

BUT - IE7 loads repeated graphical information faster for some reason on some sites. I'm on dial-up sometimes and I timed a page at another forum that had a lot of repeated signatures:

IE7 - 14 seconds
FF3 - 18 seconds

It's no contest though - even if IE is occasionally faster.

I like having the option of tabs, it makes things neater...
IE 7 has tabs, I use both.

I like the layout on IE more than FF, but FF is probably superior, although it uses more memory.

I did not realize Safari has private browsing. I just looked it up and it sounds like it makes it private to others looking over you shoulder but does it make you invisible on the net?

I'm using Safari on Mac and it is good on the sites it works on. It does have some difficulty on some vendor transaction sites, I suspect sites tailored for IE, but I use it on my credit union to do all of my online banking, works great there.

I've used Safari on a Mac and it works great, it just seems like they didn't spend that much time on the Windows version. I haven't used it in a while though, might give it a shot again sometime.
