into my laptop USB port. lol yeah... I think it's time for bed.

Computers amaze me. So much shit you can do, so little time to explore with it. haha

Some of this stuff you can do. Just plug and play... things I never thought about doing are simply doable.

I spent an hour online trying to figure out why my computer wasn't detecting my USB harddrive.

Turns out, I had actually plugged the USB into the Network port, and it actually fit.

Yep - same width. They sit side by side on the back of my Presario. Im surprised I didn't blow up my network card.

Poor planning on the part of Compaq. Obviously, If I am stupid enough to buy a notebook that sounds like a hairdryer with bad bearings, I'm stupid enough to plug an USB into anything it fits.

A coupld of weeks later, I found my girlfriend trying to plug a mouse into the s-video port, which looks almost identical.

yeaup, they are actually, the same size, share similar pins, and the only real difference is the insde package of the pin and slot the pin is plugged into.
