Probably an HP, it does not say on it anywhere? Look for a little tiny serial sticker on it somewhere, it might say on there. Or a logo from HP or Dell.........or someone

Google "netbook" images and see if you see it and post it, maybe we can figure out what it is.

I would not replace the mother board, I'd just buy a new one. Too expensive, if it can be done I'm sure.

what you have is a "netbook" that is as capable as a computer in 1999. A 300mhz processor is inadequate for enjoyable internet use, and 128mb ram is on the bottom end of what someone would want for anything outside of simple web pages.

I just bought my graduate a dell. It was $500, 3ghz dual core, 512ram, a 350gb HD, 8x dvd-r, and a wide, 17" display.

I like the idea of a netbook, but would be very leary of purchasing one due to the power issues.

i have a dell inspiron with a bad motherboard. replacing it is 200 (nline has even been so kind as to offer).

but if i am spending 200, i am going to go ahead and spend 500 for something brand new and up to date.

To be honest, my heart hurts that this purchase was made and may be a waste of your money. You are a mom raising kids (and doing it well, judging by your daughter)....money isn't something that just falls into your lap. I am sorry.

I would recommend talking to Nline before making a decision on what you will do. He has never led me wrong (and has bailed me out more than once).

Ok Thanks

I saw it had 2G's and I thought that was good.

You have a great doorstop there. It has a 2GB hard drive. That's storage space not system memory. It's not even running Windows. It's running WinCE. That's what Windows based cell phones run. It's an oversized cell phone with out the cell. A bad attempt at an iPad like device.

Sorry but you got ripped off. I honestly don't know what you can really do with this unit. Vector Linux might run on it but the websites like FB and Myspace would be just as badly run. Wish I could tell you better...
