What are the best free virus cleaners?
I used ESET successfully on the Security Tool virus, but now I have another similar-type virus. I tried to use the ESET again, but I guess you can only use the free version once. I bought and installed ESET last time, but this virus somehow got through. I need to boot-up in "Safe Mode" and use something free to kill this latest virus. Help a poor, ignorant brotha out, please! |

Most antivirus can't clean out malware once you are infected.
Malwarebytes, Super antispyware, and Spybot are all tools that I run on many systems. But often I have use Microsoft/Sysinternals Process Explorer and Autoruns to find some of the hidden stuff. And then you may find it but not be able to remove it. At that point Linux boot CDs come out to try and root this stuff out. |
