How could a computer get that dirty? While PC cases arn't air tight, when you expell hot air with fans out the back (usually at the top) it pulls cool air in from front vents. Since most PC's like that are close to the floor where dust & pet hair settles it gets sucked in. |

The other reason the dust accumulates so bad is that computers, monitors, and even TVs produce ionic fields that attract charged particles. This also is what causes static cling. Because of this computers are more prone to collecting dirt. Add in intake fans and placement on the floor and you have the setup for the dust bunnies from hell.
You should open your computers about every 3-6 months and use canned air and blow them out. If you do that you'll have far fewer problems with the computer and I suspect even better health as you get rid of that allergen trap in your work area. |

The PSU is gone. clogged with pet hair. I have to either replace the CPU heatsink or remove the fan & soak it in something then scrub it clean. It's a darn near solid dome of goock. |
