Help finding an intercom system - DiscussWorldIssues - Socio-Economic Religion and Political Uncensored Debate

My brother who is in a wheel chair will be having surgery on his leg in a few weeks and would like to get an intercom system. The purpose is to have one at the front door so if someone rings the doorbell he can talk to them without having to get out of bed.
He went to Radio Shack locally and they said they don't have anything. Does anyone have experience with intercom systems or know who might can help me find what he is looking for?

Thank you Ponderous! I was looking at that exact thing on the Norco Security site, but they did not have as many reviews. My head is spinning now, so I will have to get with brother and tell him all this information. I think that unit will suite his needs well though. He also wants to add a camera and monitor the front and back door at his house....a whole new headache for me

. He was talking about VHS recording, but I explained to him that VHS was becoming obsolete and he would probably have to go to DVDR.

No, but my son has an intercom system that he would like to get working if anyone knows someone who can do this..
