Default IE7 help
You know, after I started over and then upgraded my IE to IE7, I lost that little status bar at the bottom. That one that if you scroll over a link, it tells you what that link is to and then it shows the little status bar as the page loads in green bar thingys....anyone know how to get that back? I'm having problems here.

haha...nevermind, as soon as I posted this, I was like...wait a minute, I think I remember seeing that somewhere, and I went and looked for it and there it was. I'm an idiot!

I second Peter's response. Best solution to all IE problems: Install firefox.

Of course, I just read that IE8 passes the ACID test, so that will *hopefully* be a big step forward towards web standards acceptance across browsers whenever that is released.

Or the feature-laden Opera. I've been using it for a few years now, and am still discovering new tricks.

I have been using opera in Linux & installing plug-ins is a pain in the kernal.

Is it any easier with windows?

As far as I know, you just drop them in the "program\plugins" folder, but I don't recall ever manually installing one. Usually, they have installers that do it for you, like Flash. Well, to be honest, I tried installing one for Window Media Player, and it didn't work, which has been an issue for as long as I have been using Opera. A very small issue to me, (since I can still use firefox for those videos) but an issue none the less. What plugins are you refering to? I can always try and let you know.

The Flash plug-in for example.
For firefox on Linux it installs automagically & it works.
On Opera you have to download a seperate file.
then it gets dicey.
