My computer does not measure up to yalls but here it goes. I built it about 3 years ago.

P4 2.4
1gig ram
radeon 9600 video card
2X 36gig raptor 10k rpm sata hard drives in raid 0
19 inch LCD

Like I said not much comapred to yall but it runs all the games I play right now and has not crashed once. Although I am getting the itch to make another computer.

Just installed and additional 250 GB SATA HD to create a RAID 0 configuration. Awesome speed! Took me all damn night to reinstall all the software though... but definately worth it! Hmm... should have ordered the CPU with RAID in the first place!

Anyone else using RAID 0, 1, 5? I know there's some, just curious what your results have been thus far?

Striping drives (RAID 0) is the way to go for preformance, but if one drive dies the data on that array is toast. I'm a huge fan of RAID 0, but I've been bitten several times from hardware failure. I highly recommend backing up your data frequently. Mirrored drives (RAID 1) is fault tolerant by design, but what you gain in FT you loose in preformance. If you want preformance and fault tolerance RAID 5 a good option, but can be expensive for the hobbiest. A cheaper alternative to RAID 5 is RAID 1+0 which is a combination of striping and mirroring.
