http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011...r-gets-heated/
President Obama got into a heated back-and-forth Monday with a Tea Party activist who demanded to know at the end of a town hall meeting here whether Vice President Biden had called Tea Partiers “terrorists” during the debt ceiling debate on Capitol Hill. In public, Obama did not directly answer the question from Iowa Tea Party activist Ryan Rhodes about Biden. But Obama fired back that he knows better than anyone what it’s like to be slammed for his political views and was not about to accept a lecture on the topic. I want to see how "heated" it really got but I like this retort from the Pres. “Now, in fairness, since I’ve been called a socialist who wasn’t born in this country, who is destroying America and taking away its freedoms because I passed a health care bill, I’m all for lowering the rhetoric," Obama said. Ooh someone sounds like he had his feelings hurt. This is why I love America. You can just walk up to the President (well not right up to him) and call him out and not fear some secret police coming to your house later and kidnapping or killing you. I think he should have more talks with people like that. Or open up the White House for a day and meet people in the Oval Office. I've heard when Lincoln was in office, people could just walk right into the Oval Office and talk to him. |

Obama doesn't know what his own VP said or who he agreed with. Sad how disconnected and in his own world Obama really is. "I don't want to talk to you because you're mean and don't agree with me..." That's just my interpretation. |

He definitely ignored the question. But he makes a great point. From 2001-2008, if you disagreed with anything the white house did you were labeled pro-terrorist. Any member of congress who dissented from a single bit of legislation that included money was deemed an al-quaida sympathizer. How many times did they raise the debt ceiling, without debate, during that timeframe? Since then, this president has had to prove his birthplace, been labeled communist and many still assert he is Muslim. It would be great if we quit the childish name calling and got down to business. But, I don't see that happening anytime soon. Dividing the country is much easier for your agenda. Calling people names just splits the people down the middle and that is the real agenda in Washington. That agenda is sought by both sides.
The result? Instead of a real candidate coming forward to beat Obama, we will get more name calling and hyperbole rooted in fiction. Isn't this country great? |

What we need is someone outside of Washington - someone who is not a politician, not a lawyer, etc who just won't take anyone's shit and will tell Congress and the lobbyists "STFU, this is how we're fixing things." If ANY of the jerks in Washington cared about the country, they would be trying but they only care about their seat in Congress, or being President, etc. I think initially Obama had some good intentions to be president but those are long gone. As I've said, Pres. Obama and Candidate Obama should meet and see how that conversation goes. Oh and now if you disagree with anything THIS administration does, your labeled a "racist." So it doesn't really matter who is in charge name calling will happen. Everyone really needs to just grow the f* up. |

Yes, it sounds to me like the President ignored the question....as he should have. Stupid questions don't rate a response. |

You know what though - he takes part in the "childish name calling" just as much as anyone. If he were a true leader, he would find a way to bring both sides together as much as he could. |

Maybe he should stop hanging out with socialist and spouting socialist (not communist really) talking points and he wouldn't be called a socialist. The only one that was spounting terrorizing rhetoric was Obama...Granny won't get her SS check. The military won't get paid. blah blah blah. He brings it upon himself. Have fun sleeping tonight. Hope the commies don't bite. |
