The OP gives an impression that $100k is an enviable income (for a household and not per capita) and post 16 states the cost of university education alone at $100k. I am confused. Is 100k really a big amount? I thought the Indian expatriates in the age group of 30-50 working in the U.S. save (I repeat, save and not earn) about $50k a year.
