Awesome. And not just because it's hot.

This is a great story, glad to see the armed services finally getting logical about this.

There is a chance that back in the 1990s or early 2000s some intelligence officer (who was perhaps fluent in Arabic) was dishonorably discharged from the service for being gay, and in some parallel timeline that officer sorted out the 9/11 plot and saved 3000 American lives directly, and another 5000 service personal by avoiding the two wars. It's possible that one narrow-minded, anachronistic policy of our military cost 8000+ American and allies lives and countless Iraq and Afghanistan civilian lives.
