Comon guys. Thailand is a big place, there are people with all sorts of behavior. Depending on where you live here in Thailand or whom you meet overseas, you get what you soak in. Stress free people are nice people. Unfortunately, Thailand is a place turning into a struggle for most. Everyday, most Thais here live with the only thought of “I need money to pay rent, I need money to be rich, I need money to pay for sick buffalo on mum’s farm etc etc”. Is not a simple happy life here for Thais anymore with increasing standard of living but the same salary scales for the past decade for most. Simple and happy is a thing of the past, very very past. The tussle for survival has changed many. Generally at their roots, Thai people are nice people. But society changes everything. Generally at all human kind roots, we are nice people.

In Bangkok, some days I meet nice people, and some days I meet unpleasant ones. Sunday morning I witnessed 2 taxi drivers cutting each other and eventually getting out throwing punches at the junction in front of Fortune Center at 3am. We can’t classify Thai people as “Nice” or “Nasty”. It is all 50/50, maybe yes maybe no, yes and no, same same as other country but different.
