Again, eso se llama mal educacion. Those people weren't taught that from there parents, so they go about there lives just this way.

You really have no choice, in general, other than to accept these fallacies and try to associate yourself with more educated Dominicans; which do exist by the way. I know of many personally who laugh at these stories.

One time my uncle was asking someone if they knew where the Encanto was (Encato is somewhat like La Sirena). The guy responded by saying that it is located en la San Luis. My uncle then asked him if he could be more specific as that is a street that crosses many others; the guy said, "eso esta por ahi, por la sanluis", again my uncle reiterated that La San Luis is a long street, could he provide a corss-street. The man's response was to insult my Uncle: "Pero tu si eres bruto". My uncle just laughed it off. Which is what I would have done too.
