I didn't mean for everyone to get mad at me .

Of course not.

I wasn't posting this so everyone could say it was my fault. I've never had a dog that could jump a six foot fence, my mistake.

We know. How many dogs have you had? Was the fence chain link. If so your dog probably did not jump it, he climbed it.

I would appreciate if everyone would stop jumping on me about it. They made
my parents sign something. & YES we paid for the chickens
. Parents always wind up paying for the mistakes of their kids. I am not a fan of kids owning pit bulls. Do some research and know what kind of escape artist you are getting.

They did call the animal control on us once before, but thats just because he was barking and wouldn't stop, they told us to put a muzzle on him and I refused.
Ah they had already called animal control. A muzzle doesn't stop barking so they must have had some concerns the dog might bite something that mattered to them. Whether they were right or wrong obviously they were concerned about your dog and how it would effect them. Rather than refusing them it might have been in your and your dogs best interest to address their concerns and eliminate the risk. I have a very funny feeling your parents did not want to stop the euthanasia of your dog. How much did your parents approve of this dog. Did they like him?

I think the problem most folks have with your post was that they sensed there was more to the story. Everybody expects a dog to kill chickens and was shocked that AC would kill a dog for something like that if it was a first offense. Now if the parents have had enough and do not want the dog back (as they probably would not release the dog to a minor or a person who is not owner of the property where the dog lives) then yes that dog winds up dead.
