At school there are designated smoking areas. One of these smoking areas I made into my “office”, it’s nice to be able to read/type and smoke at the same time.
This woman would always come join me for a smoke. We had many conversations about various topics ranging from how we agree that smoking in a car with children should be illegal to everyday things in our lives.
I honestly had no idea who this woman was. All I knew was that she worked at the energy institute on campus. Thursday I brought up the subject of a pet photo contest my school was running. I told this woman I wanted to enter it. She asked me what kind of dog I had and I told her. Then her exact words were “Aren’t you worried about that breed of dog being around your child?”
I found out this woman is a law professor at my law school. Very discouraging.
I spent the rest of my break in between classes trying to educate her. I know she was thinking “why is this student trying to teach me something, I already know everything I am awesome”. LOL
