I use hinge and hold and I make sure I use as least loft as possible to make the shot. I find that the less loft I am able to use the less chance I have for a crap shot.

This, I like to get the ball on the ground and rolling as soon as possible. Just read the chip like a putt and get it close, I chip in several times a year using this method.
