So, I just wanted to say that although I haven't done any juicing, ever, I wanted to just remind you of several pieces to the Protocol. Obviously you're going "rogue" as they say and trying something completely different from what Dr. Simeons advocated. Since the Protocol works best when does as directed, I hope you're aware of all the pieces to it. #1 Don't mix veggies. Since you're juicing multiple veggies, regardless of how good they are for you, that's going against what he worked out. #2 I'm not sure how vigorous your workouts are but I was doing the Insanity workouts as well as lifting weights prior to starting hCG. When I started, I had to quit the strenous workouts within three days of being on VLCD because there's just not enough protein in the diet to keep your tough workouts going. Some people take protein shakes without sugar but, that again, goes against the Protocol. #3 I realize you're going to a clinic but 800 calories is THREE HUNDRED calories more than the 500 Dr. Simeons used. I read an article written by a doctor who runs an HCG clinic in Arizona that going over the allotted 500 by 50 calories every now and again is not an issue. But going over by 300 is not a good thing. It's still lower than most of us eat on a regular basis off hCG but not the amount that Dr. S worked with. Remember he had years and years of positive results to perfect this diet.
Now, having said all that, I am NOT an expert. I just wanted to respond to your post with what I DO know. I cheated daily on my third round (bleh...) and ended up wasting money, time and only losing 2 pounds. I decided that I would do Round 4
perfectly
- no cheating, no additions. Am on VLCD 5 and have lost 7.5 pounds. VERY happy!! I just want you to feel happy, too!
