Depends on how close you are to your cousin. If it were one of mine, I'd probably just give her or her Mom a jingle and say hey what's on the menu for the Reception and maybe ask what the Brides colors are, what kind of flowers will she have? etc... You want to stick with protocol veggies you can have and protein (steak/chicken/fish/shrimp etc.)you can have, or eat beforehand and avoid what you shouldn't have at the reception.
