I have been exercising but not regularly. Usually I walk. Before I started HCG I was in the gym several hours a day (I was unemployed and ate a 1,200 calorie diet. I was only losing about 10 pounds a month if I did perfectly (I lost that in the first week of HCG). And that progress slowed after 3 months. I miss exercising but I don't want to do much outside of the protocol. So I go walking and do mild activity a few times a week. And I have to say, I haven't noticed a loss in muscle mass at all. And though I don't struggle with energy for daily activities, exercising does wear me out for the day.
