Back when we invaded Iraq in 2003 there was a leaked saying from within the Bush administration that "Anyone can go to Baghdad. Real men go to Tehran." What kept the administration from going balls deep into Iran back then was the understanding that Iran has thousands of 'sleeper cells' located throughout the world.

Not all of the cells are suicide bombers. They are folks that live in nations all over the world helping with money laundering, operational command, target analysis and acquisition, etc.

Thousands. Many thousands most likely.

You can draw your own conclusions on how reliable this info is, but personally I believe it. This stuff has been floating around for a decade now.

In my opinion, the real threat is something I wrote an essay on about 4 years ago or so and linked a bunch of parts of it in a GIM post before it went kablooey.

In a nutshell, when the USSR fell a number of biological warfare scientists fled to safety in Iran. Iran's biological and genetics specializing universities, believe it or not, are some of the best in the world. Not the best, but for a nation we mock they are excellent at what they do. This is why the ex-Soviet military scientists went there.

Iran is a MAD capable power through its biological warfare program.

I do not doubt there is at least ONE 'sleeper cell' holding agents that could spread some incredibly nasty bug within a Western power, such as the US, UK or France.

This is my reasoning for should the Iran war get started, and you have the means to bug out, it is a clear warning sign that it is time.

We will all be on borrowed time after that.
