Default Did "the right thing" and it sucks
Shana found what looks to be a Yorkie or mix while walking around with her friend. I went and met them, leashed her, drove around talking to people, checked the pet store (both of them near me) lost animal board, came home, checked CL and Petfinder and the local paper...nothing. One man said he had seen her wandering the baseball diamonds where she was found for the last 4 days.

So, we drove her to the police station, made the report of where she was and turned her in. When we went back with the officer to put her in their temp kennel we saw a beautiful male Pit Bull who was in seriously sorry shape as someone threw him out of a car and another person saw it and brought him in.

I hope someone comes looking for the Pit Bull and the lil Yorkie's people are looking for her. I really do. She was so sweet for the couple hours we were trying to find her home and it would be heartbreaking if she gets put down. She's an old gal judging by her teeth, but she seemed to have a lot of fun left in her.

Now I am going to post on CL that I found her and took her in. By tomorrow I should have a ton of emails telling me how I am a murderer because AC euthanizes like I got last year when I found that Lab. Never mind that it wasn't my dog and her owners were the irresponsible twats that let her get loose with no tags.

Gah. I feel so bad for taking her in, but what else could I do? I certainly can't keep her here.
