I went to an event called Critterfest today. It was a lot of rescue groups raising money to help out their own endeavors. Anyways, there was two rescue groups specifically for pit bulls. One of the rescues made me really mad. They had the dogfighting pamphlet from the HSUS(why would they even have that out?!) on the front of their booth along with a big poster board full of images of neglected dogs. Basically saying that all chained dogs were neglected and had horrific wounds and no access to adequate shelter.

As an owner who uses chaining as a containment tool, I felt really highly offended. My dogs, even though they are chained are clearly not neglected which I definitely voiced. I mean a chain doesn't neglect a dog, a person does. I'd rather my dogs be chained than end up like other people's dogs, stuck in a crate for hours at a time.

Oh, and what is up with all the super fat bullies? They all looked to be 10+ lbs overweight with no real muscle definition. Like probably 60-70% of all the dogs there were overweight, especially the pugs. Alright, I guess I'm done with my semi-rant.
