Ah yes, the formidable pit bull head! Cricket cracked me in the face the other day and broke my lip, it was bruised and sore for days.

My cousin was walking her lab and he jumped up as she bent down and he broke her jaw. She had to have it wired shut, but then she dropped a few pounds - we were all calling Maui to see if we could recreate so we could all lose a few pounds too

I bruise REALLY easy and mostly I think I get them from being clumsy and bouncing off walls when I walk around but I have had my fair share from the dogs (both at home and at the shelter).
