I'm not a great golfer, but I think that the pros are able to recover from those handful of bad shots per round better than us hackers (Na's forest adventure notwithstanding).

Simple example: Deep in the trees sitting in pine straw, I would have tried to chip to the middle of the fairway, not go for the green like Bubba.
