My driver is about 30 yards longer than my 3W, but when I'm struggling to hit the driver straight, the 3W can put me in a better place on the course. I think JB nailed it for you...might need to figure something out to get the driver working a bit better.

Now, if I hit my 3W 275-290, I'd have no real need for a driver....
