When I joined my current club 25 years ago, I really knew no one there, and I often played alone back in those days. I was often introduced to others in the early days, and played with strangers all the time. It was a great way to meet new people and I have made some very good friends over the years there in doing so.

Just go as a single, and don't be afraid to play with strangers. There are some great people out there that don't want to play alone either.
