Last year I teed off with a 5i on a short 260 yd par 4 that I figured would leave me with a wedge to the green. My driver had put me in jail behind tons of trees the last two holes, so I figured I'd lay up on this one instead of goin for it. The hole has a water trough right in the middle at 210, so I figured "no way I can reach that with my 5i, so I'll hit hard 5 right at it , only hit my 5i 170 on average. You can probably guess the rest, the ball flew almost to the water trough, maybe ten yds short of it, landed dead with no hop, and then just trickled down and came to rest just a few inches into the water. Ridiculous!
