It's incorrect to say something like "They're all the same." I agree that the all news channels in America place profit before accuracy and content and that they are all the same in this sense, and bad for this reason as well, but they're not all the same in the extent to which they pander to their owners' interests.

CNN, for example, delivers low quality, vapid content that's substantially just advertising. It's bad news. CNN is right of Twitter.

Fox News, though, is unabashedly extreme right for both opinion and news and it's in basically a whole league of its own in terms of the extent to which it delivers biased content. It doesn't deliver bad news, it delivers purposely-crafted propaganda that's specifically designed to trigger emotional responses. It's heavily qualitative and based on emotional appeal. It is an echo chamber for "conservatives" that outright lies and deceives for political effect.

If you had a choice between Fox News and nothing, you'd likely be better off with nothing because at least you wouldn't foam at the mouth over imagined threats.
