Don't like ethanol. They use 10% ethanol in the 91RON fuel here in Australia. It's crap, it gives the 91RON fuel an octane level of about 94 so slightly better the normal 91RON without ethanol, but it burns quicker resulting in poorer fuel consumption.

In my 1992 Mazda 626 2.0L I get under 600km to a tank ( about 7.5L/100km or more) using 91RON with 10% ethanol.

However when I use 98RON (which is what I mainly use) I can get well over 600km per tank or around 7-7.2L/100km. Even got it as low as 6.2L/100km on the highway. And it only cost about $0.15 - 0.20 more and is better for the engine and gives the car a little more oomph.

Really don't see the point in ethanol in cars, besides it giving it a little higher octane it doesn't have any benefits. Also they removed the subsidies here in Australia so 91RON with 10% ethanol now costs the same as standard 91RON.
