Golden Gate National Recreation area is very pretty. Take the first left iirc after going over the Golden Gate heading North. Lots of old military stuff from WW2, a great view of the Ocean and the city. Great from some awesome sunset pictures.

I'd also get on Google Maps and look around and see what they got listed on there. In and around SF.
Just thinking of California makes me wanna move there. Though never would bring myself to doing it unless I landed a double killer job.


Go visit some wineries. Taste some wine, see how they make it. You can easily make an entire day out of that. Though I'm sure you'll have to drive into the Valley for that. Not sure how far you can venture.



Oh, I'm not 100% sure, but I think that North of the city is the Red Wood National Park. May be too north for you.
If you get a sweet cruiser for a rental, HWY 1 is a sweet drive too. Right up on the Ocean. Like the A1A in Florida.
