Saw this years ago on TV. TBH it is 100% pilot error. They shouldn't of scrapped the design, just the test pilot. What an idiot firing it before he hit the ground.

Still a good idea and should still be being used/worked on IMO. Test pilot just a dumbass.

Wonder how fast they got it to take off with the rocket assist.

BTW, when the front firing rocket pods open i'm reminded of a few Anime shows when missile pods open and spew hundreds of mini missiles. lol
