I have been a diesel technician for nearly 16 years.

Never had any formal diesel training, just a couple years of auto mechanics in high school, along with Marine Corps ROTC (I think I just wanted to avoid regular classes).

(backstory)
I had wrecked my first car, '72 Gran Torino Sport, and bought a '72 Mustang. I wanted to swap the engine out of the Torino. I ran into a snag, my mom got a hold of a fellow she knew that was a mechanic supervisor at a mixer plant. He came over, helped me out, and basically asked me if I wanted a job turning wrenches. So Friday I was sacking groceries and the following Monday I was changing oil under a cement mixer, lol

FF 15+ years and I work at a Sterling/Western Star dealership. I am G2 expert certified in the Mercedes Benz 4000, 900 engines and DD15/13 engines (Detroit Diesel), Caterpillar engines, '07 EPA diagnostics/repair, and many other certifications.
