I JUST GOTTA SKATE MAN OH YEAH COOL. I live jumping around on a piece of wood with 4 wheels on it. Skateboarding is about as much as expressing yourself as is shaving a lightning bolt into my pubes

Actually I was brought up on the Shetland Isles, a tiny island north of Britain with horrific weather and a population of about 30,000. My parents weren't rich at all and I skated alone for most of the time I got into it and often had to walk around 3 miles to the local school and skate myself as we lived very remotely.

I then moved to the big town Lerwick in Shetland and discovered there were other skaters there. Most of them actually amazing, even in comparison to the skaters you got in the big cities in the UK. We used to make stuff out of whatever we could find, skate every day, hang out, have fun and hurt ourselves. Alot. I've broken around 14 bones since I started skating and as well as enabling me to meet people pretty much instantly wherever I travelled to, even globally, it also taught me discipline, respect, hard work and confidence. Oh and it also got me more chicks than you could shake a stick at. [rofl]

Skating is anything but gay. But I can tell you right now the way you come across in this thread would tell me you're maybe not the personality type to get into it. It's about loving life, being happy and having fun. You sound like one stressed out motherf**ker.
