As of now, I play in a few orchestras and do lots of gigs (Violinist). The orchestras that I play in aren't full time jobs though as I'm still a student (undergrad) but I am a bit concerned since a lot of money donated comes from big corporations.

The bad thing is that the arts/entertainment industry is always the first to feel the brunt. :-(

Yep and IT for big business. Our orchestra in Columbus had its funding cut months ago. What a shame; I'm not a musician but figure there are MANY other things that should go by the wayside before those guys! Hope things work out on your end.
