how could rapidshare be at fault for his web browsing capabilities to go down? that doesn't make any sense.

They could have internal network issues or storage issues losing connectivity to files. not every company runs on invincible hardware you know.

If he can download from another source or multiple sources ok, then it has be something wrong between him and rapidshare or rapidshare themselves.
