Well I got a nice story to go from here. I recently bought a car off a dude on october 16th. I bought the car for $2700. The title to the car is not in his name, it's in the owner before him's name. BUT the owner "bernice" signed to sell it. The dude never transfered the title to his name or anything. Now my big issue is on the back of the title under purchasers it has "bernice's" name, address, state zip etc. My information was supposed to go there not hers. If I go to a Notary Public would they be able to change the information of the "purchaser" without Bernice there since she already signed the title to be sold? Thanks for any input!
if it was notarized, yes. If not, it might be a bit more of a hassle, but as long as you have the title and it has not been reported stolen, yes also.
