I worked at a truck yard where one truck trailer may have $50 Million in Pharmaceuticals onboard, and 50-60 trucks in the yard, and I was the only person on the premises (armed).

That was in North Carolina, and state laws usually dictate such rules. In NC two guards weren't necessary.
Isn't it amazing how corporations choses to spend their money sometimes? It's fine to have all that easily transportable and expensive product just sitting there, but they skimp on security and wonder why theft can be a major problem. All to save a a little money on security? Madness.
