Seems like the difference from the 2.5L to the 3.0L is a bore increase. The 2.5L made the Ward's Best 10, so this 3.0L has got to be a pretty good motor too.

Noble modified this motor, twin-turbo'd it and has it pushing 425hp. The 3.5L even made the 2007 Ward's best 10 list and I think that Ford is coming out with a car that uses this motor and also has it turbocharged.

The motors do seem pretty strong, so with the mods you are doing, you should be able to sometime throw on a supercharger/turbocharger without worrying too much about killing your car.

I am sure that you can get this thing to sound pretty nice. There are a few V6's around that can sound pretty sweet. I have even heard that the 4.0L V6 in the mustang sounds a lot nicer then the 4.6L V8 mustang all stock.

Tried finding a sound clip at magnaflow but no go there.
