Someone swapped a 350 into the pontiac then? After doing a little search, it seems you guys down under got the rebaged chevrolets like the canadians instead of the standard pontiacs. Got any pictures?
Yup, we got the Canadian assembled ones, by Fisher IIRC, and they were fitted with Chev' engines - mine was originally a Laurentian (283 2 barrel) and was replaced with a bitza 350. Not hellova fast (around 135mph) but a bit of a handful with the original 12(?) inch drums - you got one good stop out of it from 120mph, one sort of stop you and then you may as well open the door and use your foot to slow it down. It was a lot of fun, esp' on dirt roads, and I used it for hillclimbs, sprints, autocrosses, motorkhanas (solo/autotests) etc[thumbup]
