How long do you charge for the first time on a new phone? I've read the manual, and it says nothing about letting it charge before powering it on. As a matter of fact, it says plug in battery, plug in charger, turn on phone.

My new phone arrived today. I'm excited about using it.... but, I have to have my phone available for the rest of the day, and I only have one SIM card. The SIM card is in my old phone while the new one is charging.

T-mobile MDA is the phone.
