Default What And What Not To Post
Ok I have been using The Futuremark forms back from the Madonion days. Most people that use theses forums are gamers or atleast I hope so cause why would an ordinary pc user need to benchmark his system. So many times I see threads like " best pop up blocker for Firefox" or " How to I speed up XP?". So many others threads like these can be avoided if you simple use the internet for what it was intended on. "Information". I found another thread about "How do I benchmark Quake 4". Have any of you people who posted these threads tried looking this stuff up in Google first. I know most of us post things to get user opions but come on now people. I have posted things also such as "what is the best torrent". But things like that are hard to find in Google. I am sorry if I sound like a jerk but instead of posting something you can research yourself then do it.If your in this forum then you should have some good experience under your belt about pc's and tweaking Windows. After I reformat the first thing I do is shut off undeeded services, shut off anything I dont need in msconfig. Stop Windows messenger from working completely. Tweak my IP settings. I guess my point of this thread is that with the internet you have the world at your fingertips. You no longer need to go to the library to research things. Why do we have those "search bars" in our browsers then. Are they there just to look pretty. No they are there to help us search for things we need the answers on. Thanks people.
