Watch it now. We could say the same for the humor of other country's and how we don't like it.

I think he was being sarcastic and mocking DuranXL.

Saw the trailer......looks quite stupid.

And the advertising is the same reason why not a whole lot of people knew about it either... Fox royally screwed Alan Covert and Co with VERY few ads and the TV spot/trailer they had was run seldom and was horrible. The reason why I seen it in theaters despite the shitty trailer is because I knew it wasn't going to be a let down. If you listen to Sandler's albums, Covert is the one to come up with a lot of the jokes. Nick Swordson is a funny guy, Peter Dante never lets down (especially in this movie), Doris Roberts is always great, etc etc.

Case in point, if Fox didn't kill the movie with extremely poor advertising, it would have been among a lot of people's favorite comedies. Not everybody's of course, but quite a lot. It's a fricken hilarious movie, seen it when it first came out, got the DVD when it first came out. So just give it a try, you may love it.
