I just want to say brother fantasticincrediblerisernevergiverupper786, that I wasn’t always HighHopey and ambitious. For most of my life, I was nothing more than your average Joe(ette) though I liked to be different but, at the same time, desired to fit in with the crowd... Then, towards the end of high-school, I started becoming more religious. That continued into uni. During uni, I went to a tazkiyyah retreat which had a profound effect on my outlook and attitude towards life. What I learned really helped push my spiritual progress. I feel the fruits of what I learned only manifested themselves about two years ago and the fantastic ambition I have today is one of those magnificent fruits walilaahilhamd.

There’s so much wonderful advice for you in this thread and in your other threads too. Deliberately turning away from good advice I think will only serve to further harden our hearts making self reform that much more difficult. So let this be the turning point in your life. You really can be the kind of person you admire. Yes you can. Yes you can. No you can’t. Didn’t see that coming did you? I wanted to grab your full attention. Insha Allah Ta’aal brother you will be incredibly outstanding and Allah SWT will draw you very very close to Him SWT. May that be so! Pls say ameen everyone.
