I use to recite ya nur three times and each time blow on my fingers and rub my eyes. I was pretty sure it was a sunnah. One salafi guy asked me where i got that practice from and I confidently told him it was in a book I had. When I told him it was a dua book with no sources, he just laughed. Only after 'researching' the matter I realized its not a sunnah, but rather if I remeber correctly it is recommended by Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi. Mufti Zubair Butt had a response to a query about Reciting Ya Qawiyy and Ya Nuru 11 times and then blowing your fingers and rubbing your eyes after Salat, and he did not classify it as biddah.
