Jazakallah, Dr. Muzammil H. Siddiqi explains why we fast on the 9th and the 10th which i already knew and outlines the fasting on 3 levels but doesnt explain the basis of fasting the 3 days which is what i would like some more detail to. I have though decided to fast all 3 days this year as surely only good can come from fasting in Allah's name, last year i fasted 2 days. May Allah (swt) accept all our fasts.
