Everything has its destined time but we have to make an effort. Anyway I am not going to say any further. I am a great sinner so my dua wont have much weight, but we never know, it may just be the time of acceptance.

May Allah Swt grant you a loving and pious husband who will be the coolness of you eyes and you to his. May he bless you with pious children who will raise the flag of Islam once again like in the time of the Sahaba Ra. May he accept all your duas, bring you entirely on the path of siratul mustakeem and make nothing more beloved to you than the sunnah of Muhammad Sallalahu Allaihi Wassalam. Ameen.

n.b. The one making the dua is more in need of it than the person in whose favour it is made. Please, please remember me in your duas as well as I am in great, great need of it, the most in need from amongst the entire ummah or Rasool Sallalahu Allaihi Wassalam.
JazakAllah brother, may Allah ease all your hardships and bestow the best of His Mercy on you, ameen.. you are right one's own efforts also counts but He is the Controller of All Affairs...
When im grieved i recite Surah Inshirah, Zuha n Nasr.. these short surah plus two dua's of Mercy help me by bringing peace to my heart. Hope they help you too.

"Yaa hayyu yaa qayoomu, birahmatika astagheeth."
(On You Who is Everliving and Sustains and Protects everything, I seek assistance through
the means of your mercy..)

"Rabbi inni lima anzalta ilayya min kharyin faqeer."
(My Lord, I am ever needful of any favor that You may send my way.)

Hope you see the best of circumstances soon. InshAllah.
