I am currently watching a speech by Sen. Clinton and I find myself remembering her role in her husbands service as president...and, for lack of a better term..his service by another woman. I remember at the time thinking to myself, why does she stay married to an adulterer? What reason does she have to continue a commitment that was not returned to her. Not one person would have blammed her for leaving good ole' Billy, yet she stayed in the face of her national embarrassment over the issue. The answer is obvious. She was protecting her presidential bid. I am listening to her speak about values this very moment, but it was she who has sacrificed values in order to get what she can take. She has "sold out" her self respect in order to protect what she wanted...something that I believe she could have had anyway. Is this someone we can trust with our political future?
Heck, I never got into Clinton's marital problems. I remember when all that Lewinsky stuff was going on, people were accusing Bill of bombing Iraq in order to divert attention away from his marital affairs, but I never bought into that. I think of a lot of that was due to party loyalty more than anything else.

She may have honestly stayed with him because she loved him. Love is a very powerful emotion that will make even the proudest of people swallow their pride. That is why many people are scared of it.

But all that aside, I still wouldn't vote for her.
