People start Kendo at all ages. I was at an event in Tampa over the summer, and I saw a little boy and a little girl who couldn't have been older than 8.
If you're lucky, your dojo will have classes set up either by age or rank. If not, you might find yourself at a disadvantage, depending on your physical build, but even then, it shouldn't be
too
much of a problem.
