In the full article in the newspaper, he related how he used to work in tuna farms, and how one of the things they had to do was control the sharks who would regularly smash into the sea-pens to eat the fattening tuna. It seems it was here he acquired his samenagewaza, because the smaller sharks they would simply fling out of the pens with their hands (the big ones they would shoot apparently).
